Check out this preview of The Walking Dead shown last night at New York Comic Con. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get into the actual panel after waiting on line for over three hours so we had to end up recording the screens out in the queue hall. The halls were bright and there was a glare on the screens, but I’ve edited the video as much as I could so its viewable. The sound, the sound was a different story altogether, so unfortunately it’s not that great and hard to make out what they’re saying. Regardless, it’s a preview from one of the later episodes of Season 4.
If you haven’t played The Walking Dead by TellTale Games, STOP! GO BACK AND PLAY IT! Not because you can’t play this new 400 Days DLC without playing it, but because it is one of the gems of this generation and should not go un-played. That said welcome to our review of The Walking Dead: 400 Days.
The Walking Dead Game is on sale for 75% off ($6.24) on Steam until Monday September 9th, 2013. Make sure to grab it at this low price, because it’s usually $24.99. Also, make sure to check out our review of the game if you’re still wondering if you should get it or not.
We all agree that The Walking Dead is a show that has redefined Zombie/Action/Drama cinematography and has been able to push the genre firmly into primetime television. Generally, game adaptations of an established series or movie tend to be a huge flop, with the exceptions of masterpieces like the recent Batman series or the Star wars based Knights of the Old Republic. So, how does The Walking Dead’s foray into the video game world hold up? Does it fall into the old trope that movie/show video games are compost, or will it do to the video game world what the show has done for television?
